Debonair Pizza started in by two students from Maritzburg in South Africa. They grew to 500 stores and 27.5 million pizzas a year. After gaining such popularity in South Africa they ventured in to Dubai. They are the pioneers of the Triple-Decker® and the Crammed-Crust® Pizza.
They conceptualised a charity initiative in South Africa called the “Doughnation”, which is very appealing to me. The idea is that, when they cut a pizza into shape there are small amounts of dough off-cuts. Through the “Doughnation” initiative, all the off-cuts of dough that remain after making their pizza bases are collected and baked into flat loaf breads. These are then handed over to a local charity or organisation in the community that each restaurant operates, for free distribution to the needy. This concept should inspire others to follow suite.
Located in Garhoud, a small pizza joint. They are more focused on deliveries. There is a seating area if one chooses to dinein. They provide free wifi to their dinein customers too. Apart from Garhoud, they also have branches in Dubai Mall and Dubai Marina. Its Christmas time, so they had a Christmas tree in the corner and some decorations for the season.
I was passing by Garhoud, so I picked up Pizzas on the way home. Of course you can order online too. The packing of the Pizzas was good.
For sides we had the Cheese & Garlic Bread – Garlic Buttered French Baguette Topped With Mozerella Cheese And Persley.
Bbq Chicken Pizza – Topped with Chicken, Mushroom, Onion, Bbq Sauce, Spring Onion. My kids love this flavour.
3 Cheese Pizza – Topped with Mozzarella, Cheddar, Feta, Sweet Bell Pepper, Spring Onion. This is my favourite.
Tikka Chicken Pizza – Chicken, Mushroom, Sweet Bell Pepper, Onion, Tikka Sauce, Spring Onion. My wife’s favourite. We ordered for the Triple-Decker® style pizza. This came in 3 layers. A word of caution, the quantity of this style is very filling.
While ordering pizzas we can choose from many options of thickness and layers too. Also ask for their promotions. Who knows you may just be able to grab an offer.
