I was invited for a bloggers event at Denny’s by Marwa Dehneh – Guest Relations Manager of Denny`s Dubai, with the reference of my friend Syeda Shanaz Hussain, Marketing professional, a gifted food and lifestyle blogger and the creator of theshazworld.com.

The event was attended by few of the top Fashion, Lifestyle, food and travel bloggers. All of them popular personalities, influencing large population of Dubai via their social media platforms.

The evening talk was focused on how Instagram and Snapchat can be exploited to its fullest. Annie Grijalva a blogger, writer, a social media expert, model, influencer and trend setter, creator of unlavishstyle.com, shared her experience and knowledge on the subject. She indeed did a great job.

The event was co-hosted by Fatima Anwar the creator of TheTrendChronicle.com, in her own words “a Social Media Specialist by day and fashion stalker by night” is a fashion, home, food and beauty blogger.

My favourite subject being FOOD, I would like to take this opportunity to write about the restaurant where the event was hosted.

Denny’s is America’s diner. Started by Harold Butler and Richard Jezak, then in 1953, just a donut stand called Danny’s Donuts, in Lakewood, Carlifonia, USA. Butler’s stated promise was “To serve the best cup of coffee, make the best donuts, give the best service, offer the best value and stay open 24 hours a day.” Today serving in more than 1,700 locations in the world, open 24 hours, is not just a Donut shop, but since 1961 a full service restaurant chain, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.

In September 2015 a UAE based Advance Investment LLC, an affiliate of Food Quest Restaurant Management launched Denny’s in Dubai. They currently having two branches, one located in Al Ghurair Center, Deira and one in Al Safa, Sheikh Zayed Road.

The event took off with Denny’s cold beverages. I had the fresh orange juice and then the strawberry milk shake.

Then we had their healthy salads;

CRANBERRY APPLE CHICKEN SALAD – Grilled seasoned chicken breast, glazed pecans, apple slices and dried cranberries atop a bed of spring mix. Served with balsamic vinaigrette.

PRIME RIB COBB SALAD – Tender prime rib, bacon, fresh avocado, grape tomatoes, Cheddar cheese, hard-boiled egg and potato sticks atop a bed of spring mix. Served with the dressing of your choice.

Followed by starters;

ZESTY NACHOS – Freshly cooked tortilla chips, topped with Pepper Jack queso, shredded Cheddar cheese, seasoned nacho meat, freshly made pico de gallo and sour cream

CHICKEN & SAUSAGE QUESADILLA – Roasted seasoned chicken, crumbled sausage, fire-roasted bell peppers and onions, melted American cheese and freshly made pico de gallo fill a flour tortilla. Served with a side of ranch dressing.

Finally the main course and a taste of their popular breakfast;

BBQ CHICKEN SKILLET – Two grilled seasoned chicken breasts covered with a delicious BBQ glaze, topped with mushrooms and fire-roasted bell peppers and onions, all atop broccoli and seasoned red-skinned potatoes.

LUMBERJACK SLAM – Four bread halves, a slice of grilled turkey ham, two bacon strips, two sausage links and two eggs and hash browns.

The food was awesome. I would definitely recommend to my friends.
