Kababji is a health conscious brand committed to offering healthy and soulful food. It started in Lebanon in 1993 and after gaining its popularity in Lebanon, they have introduced their restaurants in many other countries. They have 4 restaurants in Dubai too.

We had been to their restaurant for dinner, located in the Executive towers of Business Bay. This branch unlike their other branches is more focused on take always and quick food on the go. I guess since it is located in a business area. The indoor seating is limited, with high chairs and a counter. The main seating is outdoors.

We started with the Fattouch  Salad – Rocca, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, freshly squeezed lemon juice, virgin olive oil, hint of garlic & pomegranate syrup. Well it was not the best I have had. I am sure they can improve on it.

Seasoned Fries – French fries blended with special spices. We liked the taste.

Moutabal Eggplant – Fresh eggplant grilled over charcoal, lightly mashed with tahini & freshly squeezed lemon juice topped with virgin olive oil. We had it with the khubs (Arabic Bread).

Shish Taouk – Skinless, boneless chicken breast cubes marinated in a special blend of spices. It was juicy and tender. It is usually hard in other restaurants.

Kabab Orfali – Ground meat served With grilled onions, tomatoes, eggplant & chili pepper. I would suggest this for people who prefer some spice in their food.

One part of the menu caught my attention. That was the Light Health part. This is specially crafted by the founder and co-owner of the Nutrition & Diet Center in Lebanon, Mrs. Sawsan Wazzan Jabri. A pioneer in the catering business of therapeutic nutrition and low fat food in the Middle East.

I choose the Grilled Veal Filet from the light menu – This is both balanced and heart healthy. Marinated grilled veal tenderloin cubes with grill onions. This was the best out of all the dishes we had. Juicy, tender and grilled to perfection. I would highly recommend this dish.

Verdict – It is a good restaurant for a take away or quick bite on the go. They serve healthy food and tasty grills. Love the Grilled Veal fillet.
