Chef Sanjeev Kapoor is the most celebrated face of Indian cuisine today, he has been inspiration for many and encouraged many chefs on international panel, Sanjeev Kapoor is a popular person on Indian Television shows currently judge on Master Chef India. The brand name Yellow Chilli is linked with Chef Sanjeev Kapoor, so going to his restaurant was always a treat and was looking for a great experience. This restaurant is located in JLT, a small space with a good lake view and well connected to residence area of JLT. The ambience is very simple, and keeps the authenticity of the cuisine.

We started the meal with Masala Papad which is fried poppadums’ with Indian salsa sprinkled onto it, the salsa is made with chopped tomato, onion, coriander with sprinkle of red chili powder. It’s quite light and crispy .

For drinks we had Mango lassi and sweet lassi. My kids loved it.

Then had my hands on Andra fried chicken which was fiery hot and spicy dish made with fresh ground spices, and was well cooked and had strong flavors of spices and curry leaves.

Then the turn came of Chandi Kaliyan– these chicken tikkas which were mild flavored with cheese and lemon butter, accompanied with yoghurt marinated onions salad.

Moving towards mains we had Murg Survedaar, the chicken was moist and had spicy gravy with black pepper went very well with the Indian bread Pyaz Mirch ki roti. We also had other variety of Indian breads like Butter naan and Garlic naan which was hot and not rubbery.

Hyderabadi Dum Gosht Biryani is a mouth-watering dish popularly relished in Hyderabad the meat was succulent and  rice was very aromatic and perfectly cooked definitely a must try.

For dessert we had a unique combination of dessert in one, Zauk –E-Shahi comprising of soft sponge just like Shahitukra topped with Gulabjamun with drizzle of Rabdi I really relished it.

Yellow Chili has kept its standard and brand name by giving prompt service and delectable dishes served by professionals. Would definitely recommend the restaurant and try out the chef’s signature dishes.
